Overview

The Local and International Relations Department was officially established in the year 2022. The department is responsible for managing and developing relationships between an organization and external stakeholders both locally and internationally. By collaborating with international universities, government ministries, and local institutions, the department helps to promote academic cooperation and advance the university's global reputation.

The department's responsibility to negotiate and finalize MOUs with international universities and local institutions is a critical task that helps to facilitate joint research projects, exchange programs for students and staff, and other forms of academic cooperation. These agreements help to build strong partnerships that benefit all stakeholders involved, including students, faculty, and staff.

In addition to establishing MOUs, the department plays a vital role in responding to letters from external parties, arranging meetings, and moderating or facilitating requested seminars and workshops. The department also organizes international and local workshops, seminars, and forums in collaboration with established universities and institutions to promote cultural exchange, diversity, and global citizenship.

The department's efforts also provide opportunities for students and academic staffs to engage in international experiences and learn about other cultures, which is a valuable asset in today's globalized world. Moreover, the department organizes and conducts educational training to different islands and schools according to their needs, which helps to ensure that all stakeholders are included and benefit from the university's academic resources.

Overall, the Local and International Relations Department plays a crucial role in fostering international partnerships and promoting academic cooperation between institutions. Their efforts ensure that relationships are maintained and strengthened, which benefits all stakeholders involved and helps to advance the university's global reputation.
